Dalet promotes the multimedia revolution of television and radio BX1
Television, radio and digital media BX1 of Brussels has recently integrated the platform The valley Galaxy five to renew and optimize all its internal processes.
BX1, which began as a weekly local community program broadcast on the Belgian public broadcasting service RTBF in 1985, is currently the leading channel for the francophone community of the Brussels-Capital region. The organization has recently completed its transformation into a center multimedia that offers its public programs of television, radio, digital media and social networks.
This renewal is accompanied by a new production and distribution infrastructure, supported by Dalet Galaxy five, which allows BX1 prepare and deliver local news, politics, business, culture, fashion, music and sports content from a single media technology platform.
Collaboration since 2015
BX1 y The valley They began working together 6 years ago, in 2015. That year, the station implemented Dalet News Pack, a lighter Dalet Galaxy five solution that allows journalists to share media and collaborate on news. In 2020, the system was updated with the full deployment of Dalet Galaxy five con Dalet Xtend for the edition of Adobe Premiere Pro, offering all the production and distribution capabilities that the solution offers Unified News Operations of The valley. In addition to using Premiere, BX1 uses the companion editing tool Dalet OneCut for quick program changes such as breaking news.
Thanks to this implementation, live production increased to seven hours a day and the lunchtime radio broadcast - now with video - was extended from 30 minutes to 90 minutes, doubling the audience. The visual production of radio is similar to that of television, with a more informal feel, almost like a “behind the scenes” video, and the format has proven popular with listeners and viewers.
Multidisciplinary profiles
Cédric van Uytvanck, technical director of BX1 since 2014, confirms that currently 40 employees trabajan simultáneamente con la solución de The valley cada día.
