Riedel becomes official telecommunications provider of the FIA
The FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) has chosen Riedel as the official telecommunications provider for all your motorsports.
After two decades of relationship between both organizations, Riedel will supply to the FIA technologies of hardware y software cutting-edge to bring the safety, sustainability and innovation to all FIA championship series “at a higher level”: Formula 1, WRC, FIA Masters…
Communication and signal distribution solutions provided by Riedel for FIA motorsport events include pioneering distributed video infrastructures MediorNet, which combine signal transport, routing, processing and conversion in a redundant network in real time; the scalable digital intercom network Artist; the award-winning wireless intercom system Bolero; and one variety of specialized headsets and handheld radios.
Peter Bayer, FIA general secretary for sport and executive director of the FIA F1, considers that the decision is "the result of a relationship of trust for two decades. It illustrates our shared commitment to using the most advanced technologies, with the safety and sustainability requirements that we have for all our championships."
From Riedel, its CEO and founder Thomas Riedel celebrates the milestone: “We are delighted to officially join the FIA's efforts to promote stricter safety standards and the latest technology in the world of motorsport, making the lives of drivers, teams, officials and the entire racing community easier and safer.” Finally, his partner Lutz Rathmann, managing director of managed technology, adds: “Our intelligent systems are designed to work seamlessly with each other, so a unified infrastructure from Riedel will provide significant added value for both pilots and officers.”
