Vincent Grivet is re-elected president of the HbbTV Association

Representing Eutelsat, Vincent Grivet will continue to lead the HbbTV Association for two more years. At the last Assembly of the association, Jon Piesing (TP Vision) was re-elected vice president while Xavier Redón (Cellnex Telecom) will continue to be treasurer.

Digital UK, Eutelsat y Kineton are the new members of the Steering Group (SG).

Following his re-election as President of the HbbTV Association, Grivet has acknowledged that "it will be an honor and pleasure to lead the HbbTV Association and its Steering Group for another two years. The television landscape is undergoing massive changes, and HbbTV is playing a key role in enabling the ongoing adaptation strategy of many important players with key specifications such as targeted advertising. With my colleagues in the Steering Group and the support of all members, we are committed to continue working for the benefit of the ecosystem and consumers, ensuring that HbbTV brings the expected benefits.”

During the next two-year term, HbbTV will continue to update its core specification to meet new market requirements such as accessibility and the enhanced content protection through DRM, and will also work to further improve the ecosystem's ability to ensure compliance of receiving devices with specifications.
