The Tecnocom manager will be accompanied on the AMETIC board by Alfonso Rubio (Esri) and Gabriel López (Microsoft).

The companies associated with the employers of the electronics and telecommunications industry AMETIC and that make up the Information Technology Sector Area (ASTI) have re-elected Antonio de Lucas (Tecnocom) as president. He will be accompanied as vice presidents by Alfonso Rubio (Esri) and Gabriel López (Microsoft).

Made up of companies that carry out their activity in this field, the AMETIC Information Technology Sector Area has the mission of representing the Spanish IT sector, identifying its needs and proposals and transferring them to the main interlocutors in the national and international context (Public Administrations, Private Sector and Society).

Among others, its objectives aim to raise awareness of the importance of IT and its relevant role for the digital transformation necessary for competitiveness in the new digital economy, through its key technologies (mobility, cloud computing, big data, security, etc.). Another of its purposes is to position AMETIC/ASTI as a reference for Information Technologies in the Spanish sphere, as well as to represent the Spanish sector in the context and international IT associations.

Information Technologies are a key element in the modernization of the productive fabric and their influence is fundamental in the efficiency and productivity of other sectors of economic activity.

To achieve its goals, the Information Technology Sector Area has in its structure specialized commissions in the main areas of interest and current affairs where the specific needs and proposals of the groups of IT supplier companies that make up it are dealt with in depth.
