DAMA will inaugurate a new headquarters in the heart of Barcelona

The last General Assembly of AGITATE, an audiovisual rights management entity, ends with the approval of the 2023 budgets (with an increase in distribution of 19.31%) and the confirmation that the organization will have offices in Barcelona.

Over the next few months, AGITATE will inaugurate a second headquarters in Barcelona, located in the heart of the city, next to University Square (Plaça de la Universitat). This space, 300 square meters, confirms the growth of the entity, which will begin 2023 with more than 2,400 members. The DAMA Board of Administrators has also approved the expansion of the DAMA headquarters in Madrid, located in the La Latina neighborhood, with more work rooms so that the members of this association can hold meetings with other colleagues, present projects to other industry allies or, for example, organize a pitch with production companies.

In parallel, in the General Assembly held on Wednesday, December 28, the approved the budgets for 2023 with a distribution increase of 19.31%. The approved budget estimates that, by the end of 2022, the entity's collection will amount to 31.8 million euros, exceeding what was budgeted twelve months earlier by 16.94%. For the year 2023, it is estimated growth in billing of 7.44% due, for the most part, to the increase in national repertoire represented by DAMA.

The Assembly has also approved the budgets for promotional and assistance funds. Through the Social Assistance Program, DAMA authors may request aid for birth or adoption, for large families and for the purchase, repair or renewal of work tools, among others. He Project Program, presented in recent months, will continue to offer aid for the promotion or training of members. On the international stage, the entity has become part of the Council of CISAC, the leading global network of authors' societies, composed of the CEOs of 20 societies and representing all regions of the world.
