Al Mashhad begins its journey with IP solutions from Lawo

Al Mashad It is a channel multiplatform television and digital platform released in January 2023 and directed by Tony Khalife, renowned journalist and news anchor in the Arab world. Conceptually, the station was born with the objective of offering an “innovative experience” by mixing the television and digital broadcasting thanks to the deployment of cutting-edge technologies. In the same way, television displays in its most digital aspect adaptable and personalized content based on analytics through a personalized user experience powered by artificial intelligence.

The infrastructure for this concept is based on native solutions IP of Theirs: consolas de audio mc²36 All-in One with technology audio central A__UHD combined with HOME, Lawo's management platform for IP-based media infrastructures, and Lawo VSM (Virtual Studio Manager), global emission control solution. This project, made up of One Diversified, complete with stage boxes A__line which are used as AoIP nodes.

Integrated throughout the infrastructure are two consoles Lawo mc²36 MkII de 32 faders, each with 256 processing channels at 48/96kHz and an I/O capacity of 864 channels. Each console is IP-native and compliant with all relevant standards, and includes redundant power supplies and the ST2022-7 hitless merge network redundancy required for live broadcast operations. The redundancy design integrates two VisTool interfaces with access to ruby consoles as backups, powered by a Power Core as a processing engine. Additionally, the configuration includes six A__mic8 devices that serve as stage boxes for the IP infrastructure.
