Being or not being - Second season - Big Bang Media - The Mediapro Studio - Playz - RTVE

Different locations in Barcelona host the filming of the second season of 'Ser o no ser', a series of Playz produced by RTVE with the collaboration of Big Bang Media, company The Mediapro Studio.

The second installment of To be or not to be continues to focus on Joel, a 17-year-old trans teenager who dreams of becoming a great performer while facing the emotional and physical challenges of his transition. Again directed by Marta Pahissa con Pol Orpinell as director of photography, the season will be composed of six 25 minute episodes and will opt for a luminous and naturalistic treatment. On the other hand, the creative team of the series has also once again trusted the professional advice of the educator and member of the trans community Damian Diaz.

Laura Fernández Espeso, Javier Pons, Javier Méndez and Bernat Elías are the executive producers of To be or not to be on the part of The Mediapro Studio, while Carmen González is the executive producer of Big Bang Media. Eugenio Saavedra and Patricia Alonso are executive producers on behalf of RTVE.

Coral Cruz, creator and screenwriter of the series, explains the reason for the return of the series: "Although the end of the first season was sufficiently conclusive, I always had a second in mind that would allow us to delve deeper into Joel's emotional journey. Without ceasing to follow him very closely, this second season leaves more space for the development of the internal conflicts of the rest of the young characters." The recordings of the second season of To be or not to be will last for several weeks in different locations in Barcelona, such as the Poble Sec neighborhood and Barcelona beach.

Ander Puig, who debuted before the cameras with the first season, returns to play Joel and, along with him, some of the younger members of the cast such as Júlia Gibert, Berta Galo, Eduard Torres, Lion Armas, Enzo Oliver and Nil Carbonell also return. For her part, Emma Vilarasau will once again play Carmen, the acting teacher, and Anna Alarcón, Joel's mother.
