It was always me

Filming has just begun for the second season of It was always me, the Disney+ Original Productions series produced by The Mediapro Studio and directed by Mónica Botero, which will be composed of eight 40-minute episodes and will be recorded in different locations in the Colombian cities of Girardot, Honda and Bogotá.

The series stars the actress and singer Karol Seville (I am Moon, Disney Channel), the singer Pipe Good, and the actor Christian Tappan. The new episodes will arrive in 2023 exclusively on the streaming service with a new plot full of mystery, more romance and new original songs, set in the captivating landscapes of Colombia as a setting.

The second season of It was always me takes place three years after the television contest “Lucas Martin Presenta El Camino de El Faraón”, when its participants meet to record a reunion album on the private island of Pipe, who is now one of the most famous rockstars in Colombia.

Everything has changed radically: while Lupe is settled in Mexico working as a journalist, Noah spends his days in a bar that he inherited from his family in Colombia. Although the reunion album seems like the perfect opportunity to reconnect after so long, everything gets complicated when on the first night a valuable necklace that El Pharaón gave to Lupe disappears. In mysterious and unfathomable ways, unknown secrets and truths begin to come to light, creating tension between the old friends and threatening to destroy the lives they built.

As in its first season, the new episodes of It was always me will feature a strong musical component, with original songs performed by Sevilla, Bueno and the rest of the cast, and produced by Martin Velilla, Andrés Leal and Santiago Prieto.

The series was approved to receive the CHINA incentive (Audiovisual Investment Certificate), granted by the Colombian government and administered by Proimagenes Colombia.
