Filmlight Color Awards 2023 - Nominados

Los FilmLight Colour Awards 2023 reach their third edition with the aim of continuing to publicize the best color treatment in the audiovisual world.

400 participants of 45 countries from all over the world have decided to participate in the FilmLight Colour Awards, whose winners will be announced on November 12 within the framework of EnergaCAMERIMAGE. The winners of the five categories will be chosen by an independent jury of cinematographers, colorists and creatives, chaired this year by Lawrence Sher (ASC).

In the category of best movie, the nominees are Asteroid City, graded by Gareth Spensley in Company 3; Barbie, graded by Yvan Lucas in Company 3; Bard: False chronicle of a few truths, graded by Damien Vandercruyssen in HARBOR, and Wil, edited by freelance colorist Tom Mulder in Storm. On the other hand, in the category of television series/episodes, the nominees are The empress (The Empress) first season, edited by freelance colorist Marina Starke at Rotor Film; The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, season five, edited by Steven Bodner at Picture Shop; The Night Logan Woke Up, first season, edited by Jerome Cloutier in MELS; The Pimp: No F***ing Fairytale (OT: Luden) – first season, edited by freelance colorist Dirk Meier at D-Facto Motion, and Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, second season, graded by Walter Volpatto in Company 3.

In the category of advertisements, the jury chose Nascar, Nascar 75, a piece graded by Philip Hambi at The Mill; Skoda, Vision 7S: Modern Solid, performed by Fergus Rotherham from FAR COLOUR; Squarespace, Make a Website to Sell Anything, etalonada por Alex Gregory en No.8; United Colors of Benetton, Guardians of Colors – written by the independent colorist Franziska Heinemann in Bubbles Film, Baden-Württemberg Film Academy, and Zara Man, SS23, corrected by Tim Masick in Company 3. In the area of music videos, the jury has selected Cari Cari, My Grandma Says We Have No Future, graded by independent colorist Manuel Portschy; Doja Cat, Attention, corrected by Joseph Bicknell in Company 3; Mayyas, There, edited by freelance colorist Marina Starke, and Pink, Trustfall, graded by Daniel de Vue in Trafik.

Finally, the Spotlight award aims to recognize the unknown talents of the sector. In this category, the nominees are Possession, graded by independent colorist Cem Ozkilicci at Uhoert; He has no secrets, graded by freelance colorist Marina Starke at Universal Production Partners (UPP); The Poet, a color correction done by Linas Dabriska at MADSTONE, and Unidentified Objects, graded by colorist Asa Fox.

Los Colour Awards are directed and organized by FilmLight, in collaboration with EnergaCAMERIMAGE, and are supported by the ASC (American Society of Cinematographers), the BSC (British Society of Cinematographers), the AFC (French Society of Cinematographers), the CSI (Colorist Society International), the CNSC (Chinese Society of Cinematographers), Imago (International Federation of Cinematographers) or the Polish Society of Cinematographers (PSC), among other organizations.
