Nominees revealed for the Filmlight Color Awards 2024
Los Filmlight Colour Awards 2024, awards that celebrate excellence in color correction, have revealed the 25 nominees in their six categories.
In its fourth edition, the Filmlight Colour Awards have received more than 500 applications of 46 countries from all over the world. An independent jury of cinematographers, colorists and creatives has just revealed the names of the 25 colorists preselected in the six categories. The winners will be revealed on the day November 17 at a gala held within the framework of EnergaCAMERIMAGE (Poland).
This year's nominees for the color correction award for a cinematographic feature film son:
- Dune: Part Two – Graded by David Cole at FotoKem
- Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga - Etalonada por Eric Whipp an alter ego
- Poor Things – Etalonada por Greg Fisher en Company 3
- Saltburn – Starred by Matt Wallach in Company 3
In the category of TV Series/Episodes, the nominees are:
- Eric (season 1, episode 1) – Graded by Toby Tomkins in Harbor
- Expats (season 1) – Graded by Seth Ricart at RCO
- Griselda (season 1) – Graded by Ian Vertovec in Light Iron
- The Zweiflers (season 1) – Graded by freelance colorist Manuel Portschy.
In the advertisement category, the judges chose:
- Air Canada, Ticket to Dream – Calibrated by Wade Odlum in alter ego
- McDonald’s, We the (In)visible – Graded by freelance colorist, Manuel Portschy
- Riyadh season: Crawford Vs Madrimov, Everything Or Nothing – Graded by Philip Hambi in The Mill
- Zara, SS24 STUDIO COLLECTION – Graded by Tim Masick in Company 3
In the category of music videos, the jury selected:
- Brodka x Igo, I'm thinking about it – Etalonado por la colorista independiente Nadia Khairat Gomez
- – Kaismos, Sailed – Stallioned by Sylvain Canaux in Saint Louis
- – Nettspend, Nothing Like Uuu – Graded by freelance colorist Brian Charles
- – Shake Stew, Lila – Graded by independent colorist Manuel Portschy
in the prize Spotlight, which aims to recognize the unknown talents from the industry, the nominees are:
- Asleep in My Palm – Graded by freelance colorist Andrew Ceen.
- The Wait – Graded by Raúl Lavado Verdú in Misterio Color Lab
- Showdown at the Grand – Graded by colorist Asa Fox
- The featherweight – Graded by Sam Daley in Light Iron
- Yurt – Graded by independent colorist Pascal Nowak in Cosmodigital
New for 2024, the award Emerging Talent recognizes the work of young colorists (18 to 30 years old). In this category, the nominees are:
- Baltic, Harmonical Diffraction –Graded by independent colorist Douglas Dutton.
- NBA, Everyone’s Game, DC – Graded by freelance colorist Ryan Urzi
- Nike Mexico, Lose It All, Gain It All – Etalonado por Stephanie Park en Rare Medium
- Woolworths, Brand Reset – Graded by independent colorist, Terry Simpson
The FilmLight Color Awards are directed and organized by FilmLight in collaboration with EnergaCAMERIMAGE. They have the support of prominent international groups such as AFC, AMC, ASC, BSC, BVK, CNSC, CSI, Imago, ISC, PSC or ShotDeck, among others.
