RTVE will choose the most illustrious Spaniard in 'The best in history' with the collaboration of The Pool

RTVE - The Pool - The best in history - List

Silvia Intxaurrondo presents 'The best in history', a new format of RTVE in collaboration with The Pool, which aims to find the “most relevant and admired” figure in the history of Spain.

The best in history, adaptation of the British format 100 greatest britons, lands in Spain after adding more than 30 editions in countries like Germany, Canada, United States, France, Finland, Portugal or Argentina, among others. Silvia Intxaurrondo will host this space that will choose the best spanish in history and that will be broadcast in prime time and live. Intxaurrondo will have the collaboration of famous collaborators and experts in each subject who will debate the career, genius, merits and legacy of the most influential characters.

Scientists, artists, communicators, athletes, politicians or writers, from Christopher Columbus to Rosalía de Castro, through Isabel II, Pablo Picasso, Ramón y Cajal, Amancio Ortega and Fernando Alonso, make up a list that viewers can now vote through the portal elmejordelahistoria.com. Los 50 characters are organized into five groups. In each program the 10 finalists from each of them will be presented. Over six episodes, the program will propose a weekly online voting to choose between the two most voted protagonists of each group, who are They will face each other in a duel. From each program a finalist will emerge, the audience's favorite. The five most voted characters from the previous programs will compete in the final. Only one of them will stand out as “The best in history.”

Although the list has been preselected by RTVE y The Pool, viewers will be able to propose characters that do not appear on the initial list.
