Avid partners with Post Super to offer micro-certifications in the field of post-production
Post Super y Avid They will offer courses and microcertifications that will focus on post-production in film and the most demanding broadcast environments with the aim of marking the beginning of “a new era of learning.”
The new ones courses y microcertifications offered jointly by Avid y Post Super have been “meticulously crafted” by industry veterans based on real-world experiences. Each module has been designed to provide students with a complete understanding of its role within the broader post-production ecosystem. In this way, students will be able to begin discovering the fundamentals of cutting room until you understand the complexities of collaborative editing, among many other topics.
Avid considers that the approach of this training offer, based on microcertifications, will represent an “advance in Avid's learning strategy.” According to the technology company, this approach goes beyond “teaching which buttons to press,” and “explains the reasons,” which provides a “very valuable context” for post-production workflows. Bryan Castle, senior director of the area global learning partnerships of Avid, elaborates on this concept: "Post-production is the lifeblood of the entertainment industry, but traditional certification models often fall short of providing students with the holistic understanding necessary to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Recognizing this gap, Avid and Post Super have partnered to fill it, offering micro-certifications tailored to specific roles within the post-production ecosystem."
Gemma Nicholson, founder of Post Super, adds to Castle's reflection the capacity of this initiative to “change paradigms", which will eventually "redefine professional learning" in these types of environments. "Our shared vision is to equip people with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their respective roles, whether as editors, sound designers, colorists or any other vital element of the post-production process. “Together, we are ushering in a new era of learning that emphasizes not only technical mastery, but also the necessary contextual understanding,” remarks Nicholson.
The new courses Avid y Post Super will be available to all students in Avid Learning Central with microcertifications available through the global network of Avid Learning Partners.
