Conecta renews its leadership with Gorka Villar as president

Gorka Villar, VP Marketing EMEA & Country Lead para España en NBCUniversal International Networks & DTC, asume la presidencia de Conecta, y Jorge Lezaun, SVP Distribution & Networks Country Manager, Sony Pictures Entertainment Iberia, will serve as vice president.

The association of thematic pay television channels in Spain has named its new management team for a two-year period. Gorka Villar will succeed Jaime Amaro, CFO of The Walt Disney Company Spain and Portugal.

Conecta se estableció en 2007 y reúne a los principales productores de canales temáticos de televisión de pago en España. Actualmente representa los canales de los grupos mediáticos más influyentes del mundo: AMC Networks International Southern Europe, Hearst Networks EMEA, NBCUniversal International Networks & DTC Iberia, Sony Pictures Entertainment Iberia, The Walt Disney Company Iberia, Paramount International y Warner Bros. Discovery.

The main objective of the association is to promote knowledge about the pay television sector in Spain and promote the development of the Spanish audiovisual industry.
