Filmlight Color Awards 2025 convocatoria

From May 1 to July 31, colorists using any grading platform can opt for the FilmLight Colour Awards, which for the fifth consecutive year will allow professionals to present their color correction work.

And independent jury made up of distinguished directors of photography, colorists, media experts and figures of the sector will be in charge of judging the best color projects of the year in six categories: feature film; television series, including documentary/non-fiction,; advertisements; video clips; emerging talent, open to colorists between 18 and 35 years old, for advertising projects or music videos, and Spotlight, which recognizes colorists who have contributed to the creative impact of a film with a total budget of less than US$3 million.

Since its inception in 2021, the FilmLight Colour Awards have gone from strength to strength, with more than 500 applications in 2024 coming from more than 48 countries. George Miller, guest of honor of the jury last year, said he felt “inspired” by the “quality of the work.” “There are many things that enable enthusiasm for the moving image, and two of them are key: the evolution of the tools we have to work with and the artists whose brilliance we recognize here,” he declared.

The 2025 winners will be announced at a special ceremony in EnergaCAMERIMAGE on sunday November 16, 2025, where their projects will be showcased to the global community of cinematographers, colorists and creatives attending the festival. In recognition of their achievements, all 2025 winners will also receive a one-year license to Baselight M, the new macOS version of FilmLight's Baselight grading system.
