This pioneering one-year training seeks to respond to the needs of the sector in terms of preservation, digitization and cultural exploitation of audiovisual archives. The training is given in person, with an important practical focus, at the headquarters of RTVE Institute, the RTVE Archive in Prado del Rey and the Carlos III University of Madrid. Furthermore, it has curricular practices in reference institutions.
The inauguration was attended by Virginia Bazán Gil, co-director of the master's degree and director of the RTVE Archive, who has highlighted the Corporation's commitment to opening its documentary collection to new generations and has pointed out the lack of specialized profiles in the profession: "At the RTVE Archive we need people with solid and committed profiles, with specialized training. This master's degree gives you that advantage over the rest." Even if you come with a previous idea, I recommend that you let yourself be surprised; there are many possible paths within audiovisual heritage and this master's degree can help you discover new vocations and interests.". The presentation was also attended by David Rodríguez Mateos, professor at UC3M and member of the teaching faculty, who teaches the subject 'History and typology of audiovisual formats'.
