TSA leads the project to digitize the Telemadrid audiovisual archive

Radio Television Madrid – RTVM (Telemadrid) choose Telefónica Audiovisual Services by public tender to modernize its image archive in the next three years, a project for which it will have a new platform to store and digitize content, and manage its use.

The audiovisual area of ​​the operator, Telefónica Audiovisual Services, will replace the now existing Telemadrid infrastructure with a new platform from which digitize, store and catalog the information of the television network to preserve its historical heritage and guarantee its long-term use. This project, which will be carried out in of phases, will use cutting-edge technologies with functionalities to integrate artificial intelligence tools for the cataloging and automatic content analysis. In this way, the management of more than 850,000 files current ones that are already digitized.

Likewise, the new platform will have a scalable and flexible architecture that will facilitate the incorporation of new assets, such as more than 60,000 tapes of historical content that have not yet been able to be converted to digital format. Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales, a company with extensive experience as an integrator of file digitization and media management projects, will also be in charge of providing specialized training for Telemadrid staff and of maintenance during the duration of the contract.
