José Ángel Bohollo (‘Padres’) directs ‘Radicales’, a “survival thriller” based on “great human themes” that has just begun filming.

Radicals It has a cast headed by Carlos Santos (Solos, The man of a thousand faces) y Esther Acebo (The Money Heist), which the actors complete Abdelatif Hwidar (Elite), Omar Zriri (The unit), Sara Hwidar (Raqa), Farah Hamed (The unit) y Carlos Fuentes (Parents). The producer Eduardo Campoy (Secuoya Studios) joins the Murcian company in this feature film Twin Freaks Studio, film producers like The instinct (2025) o dog tooth (2021), and, once again, to the team of Against the Current Films, which will also be in charge of distribution.

Radicals narrates the meeting of Martin and Tere months after leaving their relationship. She has something very important to tell him and to talk they decide to meet in a bar in their city. The couple and the owners of the place are there, two women, mother and daughter, Pakistanis. Suddenly, a van crashes into the front of the building and two men armed with knives burst inside. “From that moment on, a desperate fight is unleashed for the survival of four hostages and a life-or-death confrontation between two sides marked by their beliefs, their traditions, their egos and, ultimately, by the very destiny that determines their lives,” reads the synopsis.

As Bohollo explains, the feature film, already filming, is “designed as a psychological thriller with the action confined to a single setting.” “The pressure of kidnapping opens the door to reflections on revenge, heartbreak, marginalization, institutional corruption and the yearning to belong,” he explains.
