More than ten Panasonic cameras give life to the new audiovisual system of the Notre-Dame cathedral
An ambitious display of audiovisual production with more than ten cameras Panasonic culminates the rebirth of the iconic Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral, a project by Groupe Novelty described as one of the “most ambitious integrations ever carried out” in a place of worship.
The solutions of Panasonic integrated into the cathedral they support the production of eucharists, concerts and other special events. The configuration is based on a fiber infrastructure state-of-the-art technology deployed throughout the building, utilizing a dual-layer network architecture spine-leaf capable of transporting synchronized audio and video streams with ultra-low latency through open standards such as I am, Dante y Milan-AVB.
To manage the capture and production of video, the cathedral manager opted for eight cameras PTZ AW-UE150 of Panasonic, to which they join three cameras additional dedicated content return and live streaming. The system is completed with a live switch 4K Panasonic AV-UHS500, combined with remote production workflows for KTO TV broadcast.
The deployment was completed quickly meeting one key requirement: preserve the monument. To achieve this goal, the cameras were integrated with tailored solutions and non-invasive, even repainting some tools to adapt to the architecture.
“We are proud that Panasonic cameras contribute to the rebirth of one of the most iconic monuments in the world, together with the many partners and experts involved in this extraordinary project,” the brand explained in a statement.
