The quarter-final, semi-final and final matches of the UEFA Champions League issued by Orange TV now have an HDR viewing option accessible in multi-device mode, in what is a new commitment by the operator to offer viewing experiences marked by technological evolution.

Orange TV expands its catalog in HDR with the incorporation in April of the channels M|Champions League HDR (dial 116) and M|Champions League 2 HDR (dial 124), which will emit the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, semi-finals and final, as well as UEFA Europa League matches. With this addition, the platform continues to strengthen its catalog in HDR, which currently already has the channels M LaLiga HDR y M LaLiga 2 HDR.

As explained Ignacio García-Legaz, television director at MasOrange, the incorporation of the channels seeks “reaffirm the commitment" of Orange TV with offering “the best audiovisual experience to our customers.” “We want each content, and especially live sports, to be enjoyed with a superior, more realistic and immersive visual quality, turning each competition into a unique experience,” he said.

This launch adds to the image and sound improvements implemented during the last year on Orange TV. Among them, technology stands out True Motion, which doubles the frames per second to achieve Full HD 1080p resolution with quality comparable to that of an IPTV decoder, or the latency reduction, which allows live broadcasts to be up to 2 seconds ahead of DTT and other IPTV services.

Likewise, in January, Orange TV incorporated the functionality Key Plays, which allows viewers to relive match highlights live from their set-top box. In this way, users can view the progress bar relevant events during the match using the “Plays” button, as well as consult statistics in real time, navigate through the different events and play those that you consider most important, enjoying a more interactive and personalized experience with your team.
