Christie DHD700 and DS+750, generation of single-chip DLP projectors
With exceptional brightness and superior color, they are ideal for environments requiring flexibility, superior DLP presentation and video image quality.

Christie DS+750
On the occasion of InfoComm'09 in Orlando, Florida, Christie has announced the launch of two new single-chip DLP projectors: the DHD700 and DS+750. This new generation of projectors offers an exceptional balance of superior brightness and color, innovative design and reliability for 24/7 applications, making them ideal for environments that require flexibility, superior DLP presentation and video image quality.
Frank Anzures, Christie product manager, highlighted that “the Christie DHD700 and Christie DS+750 single-chip projectors are an affordable, high-performance alternative to triple-chip projectors.” It is no surprise then that these feature-rich projectors meet the needs of a wide range of markets. For renters, its great flexibility allows for quick configuration depending on the application. But they are also a high-resolution alternative to XGA and WXGA projectors for fixed installations, government and higher education. The functionality of the Christie DHD700 and Christie DS+750 projectors make them the first choice for multi-image fused displays that require 24/7 application or extended use with minimal maintenance.
The 6,500 ANSI lumens Christie DHD700 and 7,500 ANSI lumens Christie DS+750 provide unmatched image brightness and clarity for medium to large spaces. They offer a contrast ratio of up to 7500:1 with Dynamic Black. Its 10-bit image processing with DNX Pixel Works video processing delivers impeccable image quality, greater color depth for high-bandwidth signals, enhanced image reproduction with noise reduction and superior decoding, deinterlacing and scaling of video sources.
For compatibility with most computers and video sources, both projectors are upscaled for VGA up to WUXGA and video up to 1080p. The Christie DS+750 has native SX+ resolution, while the Christie DHD700 has native full HD 1920x1080 upscaling.
Both Christie projectors offer built-in edge blending and color matching functions to create a seamless, unique display when using a set of projectors. The Picture-in-Picture (PnP) feature allows users to project two input signals simultaneously by placing a separate sub-window within the display's main input. This is especially useful for the presenter who needs to focus on the larger main image and reference the sub-image when necessary. The Picture-by-Picture (PbyP) function is useful for video conferencing applications or when both input signals need to be presented simultaneously at the same size.
On the other hand, interchangeable Rich-Color color wheels allow systems to easily go from high-brightness performance to rich, vibrant color performance by simply changing the color wheels. It also provides superior color reproduction and flexibility not found in other projectors. Multiple lens options are also available.
Both projectors have sealed single-chip DLP light engines for minimal maintenance and 24/7 operation. An optional extended-use automatic filter protects internal components from contaminants and extends lamp and color wheel life. The Christie DHD700 and Christie DS+750 projectors feature dual 330W Philips VIDI UHP lamps with an estimated 2,000 hours of life in normal mode and up to 2,500 hours in eco mode.
