Percon presents the new 1RU modular fiber optic system from Opticis

Percon has just introduced the new Opticis BR-100, a modular and systematic solution that provides a series of coaxial to fiber optic extenders/converters. The BR-100 can accommodate 1 to 16 single-slot converter cards and indicate the independent status of the front panel-mounted extenders via LEDs. Power supply modules and extenders are hot-swappable.

Percon has just introduced the new Opticis BR-100, a modular and systematic solution that provides a series of coaxial to fiber optic extenders/converters with the flexibility to handle SDI formats, such as 3G-SDI (SMPTE-424M), HD-SDI (SMPTE-292M), SD-SDI over 8 channels of CWDM, AES-3id audio compatible with SMPTE 276 and Dolby-E, RS-232/422 and 100 Base Ethernet extending all signals up to 20Km.

One of the advantages of this equipment is that all extenders and power supply modules can be hot-swapped to facilitate system maintenance without interruptions or disconnection. Each of the extenders is available as a standalone unit so that it can be incorporated into any broadcast from a small studio or mobile unit to the control room.

The BR-100 can accommodate 1 to 16 single-slot converter cards and indicate the independent status of the extenders mounted on the front panel by means of LEDs: Slot ID, PD status, Power and FAN alarm. Dual AC power can be switched by removing the front panel, without unplugging the system. Redundant power included.
