4K Broadcast with Canon at NAB 2013

At NAB 2013, Canon is exhibiting its entire professional line of high-definition imaging equipment for film, television production, video content creation and photography.

One of the areas that is attracting the most attention at its booth is the live demonstration of the 4K workflow. Visitors to Canon's Las Vegas space can interact with industry-known colorists and editors in a 4K DI (Digital Intermediate) suite.

Canon is also showcasing the new Cinema OES C100 EF 24-105 lens set, which is seen as an affordable solution that will be a boon to cinematographers.

During a demonstration of color grading of 4K footage obtained with the Canon C500 4K camera, the imaging possibilities offered by Canon's 4K image capture technology are being demonstrated by viewing the work on prototype reference monitors with 4K resolution that Canon is now developing.

Building on the recent success of the broadcast capabilities of Canon's Cinema EOS C500 4K digital camera, the company is also conducting a live 4K demonstration using Canon Cinema EOS equipment with adapter. Those participating in the demo can see the results and incredible coverage, in real time, which can be used in a multitude of high-speed productions, including live sports.

Finally, note that in the Canon Theater that the manufacturer has built at its stand, numerous HD, 2K and 4K projects for advertising and cinema are being projected these days.
