The jury of the V FesTVal Critics' Awards, convened by the V Vitoria-Gasteiz Television Festival and made up of prominent small screen analysts, has awarded the awards that will be presented on September 7 during the closing ceremony of the festival, at the Teatro Principal.
The best programs and/or professionals of the last season (from September 2012 to June 2013) are judged by the jury:
Discovery: Kitchen Nightmare
For turning a format into a ratings success that appeals to professionalism along with the charisma of its host character, chef Alberto Chicote, without falling into the temptation of pure sensationalist confrontation.
Interesting: Masterchef
For creating an entertaining prime-time show through gastronomy and revealing the qualities of its participants, creating challenges with emotion around one of the most acclaimed aspects of our culture; and with a jury that went even further in this first season.
Funny: Illustrious ignorant people
For being an exercise in intelligence and comedy guided by improvisation and empathy with the viewer, in one of the best references of Canal + production.
Your face sounds familiar to me
For combining humor and artistic quality, with successful performances in a lively rhythm that have made it the most internationally exported Spanish format at the moment. Recognition added to its veteran executive producer, Tinet Rubira.
Current: The sixth night
For creating a plural debate on Saturday nights and with the rigor and casual style of its common thread, Iñaki López
The Best in Fiction: Isabel
For its innovative character within the national television panorama, by addressing the biography of one of the most exciting historical figures and creating an interesting story for the audience. A good job from the Diagonal production company that has also experienced the vicissitudes of RTVE's recent complicated times.
The Best in Entertainment: The Voice
For taking a step further in the musical talent show and generating more content around the figures of the coaches, rising as one of the great revelations of these months, with a quality show for the general public and always transmitting a positive message to the participants and to the audience itself.
In addition to the small screen programs, in this edition the jury has selected the best mobile application linked to television, an award that has gone to RTVE "for the service of the public channel in these years and its involvement in new technologies and the opening of all its contents on the different possible platforms."
