Cinemartin 2.7

Cinemartin has updated its popular Prores encoder for Windows, Cinec v2.7, this week. Among other possibilities, it now offers HEVC H265 encoding.

This version will allow you to work with 4K material, making the most of the new encoding formats.

As an example of the results, Cinemartin claims that a 590 MB Prores 4:4 video can be converted to H265 with Cinec, with a 4.9 MB video output with small or negligible differences (in the usual scenes).

Another advantage is that the H265 material in Cinec 2.7 can work on even the most modest computers since it optimizes CPU performance to the maximum.

Cinec 2.7 includes a distributable player (decoder) for encoded playback of H265 videos on Microsoft operating systems such as Windows XP, 7, 8 and 8.1, as well as on Microsoft tablets such as Surface Pro.
