TV Perú implements a tapeless workflow based on EVS technology
The speed and reliability of EVS's new tapeless workflow will make a big difference in the state channel's daily operations.
Peruvian state channel TV Perú has selected Belgian company's file-based workflow technology EVS, which provides broadcast systems and live video production.
With the support of regional distributor Divicam, EVS has implemented a new tapeless workflow for TV Peru based on its XS production server designed specifically for studio applications.
The four-channel XS server will facilitate the migration of TV Perú to a high definition environment with downconversion of the second channels to standard definition until its full migration is completed.
César Otero, technical director of TV Perú, highlighted that "the speed and reliability of our new EVS tapeless workflow makes a big difference in our daily operations and in the quality of programming. The connection between the different areas of our workflow, and access to quality control and administrator management give rise to a fluid and easy system," he added.
The XS Server can be driven by a wide range of hardware and software EVS controllers tailored to all types of production workflows, as well as third-party tools such as automation systems, hybrid and linear editors, mixers and controllers.
Benjamín Mariage, vice president of sales for Latin America at EVS, highlights that "an efficient and reliable tapeless workflow leaves more time for creativity, allowing TV Perú to focus on delivering a better final product. The XS server simplifies the transition to tapeless production and allows TV Perú to complete its HD migration in its own time frame.
