Control and monitoring with Axon in the new CTV mobiles

Axon solutions provide both upstream and downstream 4K service conforming to the same format as 3 Gb/s modules.

The British CTV has just launched its 11th mobile unit, fully equipped for 4K production, in which the Cerebrum software monitors and controls the signals while the Synapse solution carries out the processing. Both solutions Axon They provide 4K service both upstream and downstream, conforming to the same format as the 3 Gb/s modules.

Supporting 28 cameras and accommodating 34 production professionals, the unit relies entirely on Axon signal processing equipment. One of the Synapse modules in use is the GDV080, which allows amplified 3Gb/s distribution and monitoring with down converted SD or analog video outputs. The mobile also has Axon equipment for 4K upconversion.

Control and monitoring of the production mixer Sony production, the Image Communications headquarters, the audio console Calrec, the intercom system RTS / Telex and Synapse modules is done through Axon's Cerebrum software.

Launched at IBC2013, Cerebrum provides complete tools to configure, control, monitor and maintain solutions from any manufacturer, configuring itself as an interface capable of controlling many devices.

CTV has also equipped its mobile unit number 3 with Cerebru.
