Film Camp who directs and teaches film director Pablo Berger, with long experience in filmmaking courses of the prestigious New York Film Academy (NYFA), has been launched this weekend at the base, Mediterranean Film School, located on the campus of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.

With him students will learn to write, roll and mount their own short films. And it is that the philosophy of the base is "to make movies you learn by making movies." That is why the program is structured around the production of its own supervised audiovisual works and protected by professionals with recognized experience, guided by the newly decorated with the order of the arts and letters of France, and winner of ten Goya awards for the film Snow White.

Throughout five consecutive weekends, in order to combine professional tasks with academics, students will attend practical script, production, address and photography classes.

Pablo BergerIn this way, future filmmakers will acquire the necessary knowledge both technical and creative to tell a story. Each student individually will work on their project, having telematic assistance at all times to solve doubts about the script, receive advice on locations, casting or issues related to production, so the course really lasts one month.

Film Camp It also counts among its teachers with Antonio Conesa, coordinator of production and management of the Base, Mediterranean Film School; Paco Belda, Coordinator of the Directorate of Photography and Chamber; and Pablo Mas, mounting and postproduction coordinator. For its part, Pablo Berger will combine the address of this training offer with his next project Abracadabra, a Hispanic-French co-production. It will be a black comedy with touches of drama, suspense and fantastic cinema, which will begin filming next summer 2016.
