Update 2.0 includes new effect types and performance improvements for seamless compatibility with Tio1608-D I/O racks.

Yamaha TF 2.0

Since their launch last year, the TF series digital consoles of Yamaha have earned a great reputation among users for their intuitive TouchFlow Operation interface and smart, compact design. The new 2.0 update that Yamaha is now releasing has been developed in response to users looking to expand their TF series systems for larger spaces and a greater variety of applications using Tio1608-D I/O racks.

TF Series users can easily configure multiple channel digital networking systems with a single Ethercon cable at very low latency and high sound quality under the Dante networking protocol. Users looking to expand the TF's input and output capabilities can easily add up to three Tio1608-D racks with the optional NY64-D expansion card via the console's Quick Config mode. After enabling this mode in a few simple steps, network settings and audio patching are automatically adjusted, allowing users to configure the console quickly and easily.

TF V2.0 also allows more flexible assignment of processing units and sound effects. The update also includes an expanded library of QuickPro Presets, offering users a number of presets for different output settings.

The dedicated TF Editor software that offers users offline configuration capability has also been updated. The TF StageMix for iPad has also been improved for better wireless control of TF consoles. Updated versions of TF Editor can be downloaded from Yamaha's Pro Audio website, while TF StageMix can be found in Apple's App Store. Both are free.
