JVC has announced at IBC the launch of its new platform for online video and live streaming, Videocloud. Designed for small businesses and independent production, it is a simple and powerful audiovisual content management system for live video or video on demand (VoD), with adaptable players, web page creation tools and also powerful analysis tools.

Videocloud allows you to generate a live video stream from any of your professional cameras, as well as from third-party encoders. It is also possible to create this streaming directly from Streamstar multi-camera production equipment. The system operates on Akamai's CDN, providing an exceptional user experience using any device and any network.

Streamstar designs and manufactures an advanced range of live streaming production and broadcast equipment now distributed by JVCKenwood. Streamstar equipment allows its users to produce and stream any type of live multi-camera production. Several solutions are presented at IBC, of ​​which the launch of the X7 system stands out. This equipment is rack-mounted and provides powerful production tools such as a 1080 streaming stream, replays and slow motion on all 6 input channels and incorporates enhanced remote control functions for JVC cameras.

All Streamstar products are compatible with JVC cameras with a streaming generator and accept your streaming stream as an input signal; It is possible to connect up to 6 JVC cameras via IP, SDI or HDMI, depending on the Streamstar model you are working with, with all cameras being controllable from the software itself. The output provided by the Streamstar system can be delivered for Internet output through JVC Videocloud, Ustream or directly YouTube, with content ready to be viewed instantly.

JVC PTZ KY-PZ100New robotic camera

A long-standing demand from JVC customers was to have a robotic PTZ camera with IP connectivity in line with those already existing on the market. It has finally arrived and has been presented at IBC. The new PTZ KY-PZ100 is an ideal camera for the broadcast of events on television, the production of corporate content in companies, public organizations and also sports applications, and has the full degree of IP connectivity available in JVC's range of streaming cameras, including its live streaming capacity, remote control of the camera and file transfer via FTP.

This model incorporates complete connectivity to IP networks, and can also work as an autonomous camera. Its design allows it to be installed anywhere that has a power outlet for power.

The KY-PZ100's intelligent mechanical drive system is capable of achieving an accuracy of ±0.03 degrees throughout the entire arc of movement in a completely silent manner. The camera incorporates a 30x zoom lens, direct recording to SD cards and excellent image capture quality in low light conditions. It can be controlled with the RM-LP100 IP remote control, from a web browser and also with third-party remote controls.

This IBC 2016 was the first opportunity to discover the GY-HM660 camera, a handheld camcorder model that has an IFB (Interruptible Foldback) channel, ideal for news production as an ENG camera with all its functionalities. The GY-HM660 is the first streaming camcorder on the market to integrate an IFB audio return channel, allowing reporters to communicate in the field with their production center while the camera broadcasts live images via HD streaming.
The camera also has full IP connectivity, so if immediate delivery of the recorded material is necessary, it can be easily transferred in maximum resolution or in a Proxy format via FTP from the same place where the news is produced. The camera also accepts remote control of its functions from a web browser or a smartphone, so that during remote capture of the material it is possible to access any function and adjust the camera comfortably from another location.

Another interesting novelty from JVC in this IBC are two 4K camera models based on the GY-HM200, a 4K handheld camera with a streaming generator. These are the GY-HM200SP sports camera, and the GY-HM200BC, a model designed for event coverage and broadcast applications in general. What makes both cameras unique is their integrated graphics generator, which allows you to embed live graphic information on the SDI and HDMI outputs in addition to the live streaming stream.

There is an important demand in sports broadcasting for the possibility of presenting match results on screen and the GY-HM200SP allows you to do so using only one camera without any other additional equipment. The GY-HM200SP inserts data in the form of an electronic marker in real time both in recorded images and those broadcast via HD streaming. The camera comes with different marking formats, suitable for soccer, basketball, American football, volleyball and hockey, among others. The embedding of information in the image is done simultaneously for both the recorded signal and the streaming signal. The internal memory has other generic electronic scoreboard templates, whose data can be updated very easily from a smartphone.

The GY-HM200BC uses this same operating scheme as the SP version, but allows the graphics in the lower third of the screen to be updated along with the channel logo, something very useful regarding aspects of image rights and content protection. It is designed especially for Internet news channels, bloggers and companies organizing live events, as well as for public institutions or educational centers that want to always identify their content.

JVC ha elegido la gran cita del sector para presentar su nueva serie de monitores profesionales DT-V. Diseñados pensado en la reproducción precisa de todo el espectro de color para imágenes HD de máxima calidad, que son los requisitos de cualquier broadcaster, los 2 modelos que encabezan la nueva Serie DT-V, el DT-V17G25 y el DT-V24G2 cuentan con un panel LCD tipo IPS con proceso de 10 bits, que supera las exigencias del estándar EBU Class 2 en los apartados de espacio de color, gamma y gradación. Los parámetros más críticos de gamma y gradación han sido mejorados respecto a modelos anteriores, respondiendo a los actuales requisitos de los estudios de televisión.

Los monitores presentan ángulos de visión extremadamente amplios, un nivel de aberración cromática excelente y un proceso de señal de 10 bits que permite reproducir una gradación y unas sombras de grises absolutamente mejoradas.

Cuentan con monitor de forma de onda, vectorscopio e histograma, indicando parámetros como la saturación de color, brillo y señales de entrada. La gama incluye otros 2 modelos, el DT-V17G2 y el DT-V21G2, que también poseen proceso de señal de 10 bits pero utilizan un panel LCD con 8 bits de profundidad de color. Además del puerto de entrada HD-SDI convencional, el monitor tiene una interfaz HD-SDI 3G para acomodar señal 1080p sin comprimir, con un flujo numérico de hasta 3Gbps.

Como una extensión natural de nuestra gama de monitores profesionales, en IBC se presenta también la Serie DT-X de monitores de pequeño formato para su aplicación sobre cámaras o como monitor de control en un armario rack. Todos los monitores tienen resolución Full HD, un chasis robusto y se completan con una amplia variedad de accesorios para su montaje en otros equipos.
