Grass Valley introduces new creative tools in version 8.3 of Edius Pro and Edius Workgroup. In addition to improving productivity, the new version offers high-quality slow motion, more DVD/Blu-ray burning options and other new usability improvements for all Edius Pro and Workgroup 8 users.
Specific enhancements for Edius Pro 8.3 and EdiusWorkgroup 8.3 include high-quality slow motion using optical flow interpolation; timecode information in Bin; new options for DVD and Blu-ray burning; support for F-Log color space (Fujifilm); and improvements to the GV browser.
Edius is available in two versions: Edius Pro 8, which is aimed at the professional production user, while Edius Workgroup 8 is intended for editors who usually work collaboratively in broadcast environments alongside GV Stratus or third-party MAM connectivity, or Edit-in-place on the K2 server.
Edius 8 will now support more formats and more resolutions in real time with more creative options and real-time editing in both SD, HD and 4K.
