VSN will present a plug-in at NAB that will speed up the production of news and live programs

A new plug-in, developed in HTML5, will allow editors and journalists to view all the assets and videos stored in the MAM VSNExplorer as well as the graphics coming from a graphics system, dragging them to an NRCS.

VSN will present at NAB 2018 (stand SL 8006) a new plug-in for news and live production. This plugin will allow editors and journalists to view all assets and videos stored in the system VSNExplorer Media Asset Management (MAM), as well as graphics in a graphics system, through the interface of the chosen writing system (NCRS) and then assign, drag and drop those video files into the NRCS to complete a news story.

Available on the market by mid-2018, this plugin will be provided as a complementary function to the VSNExplorer solution for media and business process management, and has been developed entirely in HTML5 to avoid the need to use or install additional hardware or software.

The new VSN proposal is compatible with most NCRS systems, including Octopus 8, Ross Video's Inception, Avid's iNews, AP News' ENPS and others, and is integrated with NRCS via the Media Object Server (MOS) protocol.

It also allows its integration with graphics systems through MOS, thus accessing the catalog of graphic templates that are available, which allows the journalist to improve the news by synchronizing the media with the graphics.

In essence, this web plugin allows the user to edit and merge video and graphics files across the video and then drag and drop the final piece into the news, including the ability to edit it again afterwards. Later, the articles may even automatically sent to any playout solution like VSNLivecom.
