In addition, it exhibits Visual Radio systems, and with the Kroma by AEQ brand new video monitors and intercom systems.

AEQ and NAB 2018

AEQ is present at NAB 2018, debuting an excellent location (C3651) in the Las Vegas Convention Center grounds where it exhibits its new communications and audio equipment with IP protocol, Visual Radio systems, and with the Kroma by AEQ brand, new video monitors and intercom systems.

AEQ SystelSetAmong the new features, Systel IP stands out, the third generation of AEQ's broadcast and multiconference telephony system over telephone lines. This solution is based on a digital matrix and uses only IP lines, with flexible and dynamic control systems for different applications in radio, television and corporate environments. With this novelty, AEQ proposes a new level in user ergonomics and operational flexibility by incorporating three new products.

The control terminal for Systel IP is called SYSTELSET+, it is based on an IP telephone with a touch screen on which a new configurable control application runs to adapt it to the most varied ways of working. The need to have a PC at each workstation is avoided to have maximum operability.

AEQ System IP TVAs for SYSTEL IP TV, it is a client application that allows you to control the multiconference systems SYSTEL IP 4, SYSTEL IP 12 and SYSTEL IP 16 in a flexible and generic way adapted to the external routing of intercom systems and other coordination applications and other specific uses of television production centers and other analogous environments.
It allows, among other functions, to manually and automatically pick up incoming calls, tag calls, put them on air or leave them in a multi-conference group; leave calls listening to the feedback (N-1) assigned to them; leave calls on air, routed to the assigned internal audio circuit; leave calls in different multi-conference groups, in which all group members can participate by speaking and listening at the same time; and allow the operator to talk to all lines separately and also to all members of a group at the same time.

The third leg of this ecosystem is Systel IP16, the IP telephony system engine with Dante connectivity. It is a one-rack unit device that behaves like a multi-line IP phone with SIP protocol signaling. Supports control from the SYSTEL IP classic application, SYSTEL IP TV, SYSTELSET+ IP phones, as well as from Neogroupe applications.
With capacity for 16 simultaneous IP telephone lines and 4 additional lines for operator IP telephones.

It has a total of 4 digital audio inputs and 4 outputs and 2 analog audio inputs and two outputs. Its exclusive feature is that it also has extensive local IP audio routing capacity: 32 inputs and 32 IP audio outputs, Dante protocol compatible with AES 67, so it can be integrated into an AoIP system and use its audio flexibly from different devices on an IP network.

AEQ Netbox DSP

Audio routing over IP

NETBOX DSP is an audio processor and router controllable from the NETBOX RTC application, with mixing capabilities. It is capable of receiving audio from the Dante network and returning it mixed and processed for use on other equipment.

Processes up to 64 audio channels. The built-in processes are high-pass and low-pass filters, four-band parametric equalizer, compressor, limiter, expander, noise gate and delay. Mixes and routes between 64 and 160 audio channels depending on versions.

NETBOX 32 AD MX is an audio router with mixing capabilities, controllable from the NETBOX RTC application. It has 16 analog inputs and outputs, 8 dual or stereo AES3 and 32 IP with Dante protocol.

Additionally, both NETBOX DSP and NETBOX 32 AD MX have 16 GPI and 16 GPO transportable to other devices over the Dante network.

NETBOX RTC

The NETBOX RTC application allows the NETBOX 32 AD MX and NETBOX DSP devices to work as autonomous audio routers with analog, digital and AoIP Dante / AES 67 inputs up to 160 audio inputs and outputs, depending on the configuration.

The application allows you to mix and distribute audio and create multiple switching based on macros and salvos that can be activated manually, through external commands and by clock. Lines can be protected and control distributed among multiple users and workstations based on rights. Configurations that include NETBOX DSP allow up to 64 audio signals to be processed.

The built-in processes are high-pass and low-pass filters, four-band parametric equalizer, compressor, limiter, expander, noise gate and delay.

AEQ - Broadcast Pix

Visual Radio

The company Broadcast Pix, based in Massachusetts and AEQ, has reached an agreement on product integration. The integration affects Broadcast Pix's integrated video production switches and AEQ's Capitol IP, Forum IP, ARENA consoles and Netbox interfaces, enabling automation of video production based on audio levels and thresholds. The need for a filmmaker is eliminated during live video productions, specifically for Visual Radio and other institutional or corporate solutions.

When an AEQ device is combined with any Broadcast Pix integrated production switch, it automatically detects which microphone or audio channel is being used and triggers predefined actions regarding automated “video-follow-audio” production. These solutions have already been successfully implemented in some reference radio stations.

AEQ LM 9055

Chrome By AEQ

With the Kroma by AEQ brand, last year AEQ presented the 9000 series video monitors, 24″ and 31” with 4K resolution for reference monitoring and signal measurement in TV / Video production centers, which incorporate a 10-bit processor, signal measurement features, HDR, color spaces, Close Caption… This year it exhibits the new 55” model at NAB 2018.

On the other hand, those who visit the AEQ stand in Las Vegas will be able to learn about the new connectivity functions of the KROMA by AEQ CrossNet and Conexia intercoms.

They can now interface through the Mercury and Venus 3 audiocodec with remote intercom user positions.
