Nagra integrates its watermark into the Amazon Cloudfront Content Delivery Network (CDN)
The combined solution will offer an efficient and scalable way to combat the illegal distribution of video content from streaming services.
Nagra has integrated its watermarking solution NexGuard with the Content Delivery Network Amazon Cloudfront (CDN). The combined solution has been deployed commercially by a major Hollywood studio, allowing the content owner to stream their video content to viewers around the world in an efficient and highly scalable manner, while ensuring strong security and traceability of their premium assets.
Harrie Tholen, vice president of sales for anti-piracy and NexGuard solutions at Nagra, acknowledges that “we are delighted to expand our use of Amazon Web Services and provide the additional layer of security and traceability that content owners now require for the protection of premium content in pre-release and direct-to-consumer scenarios.”
"With Cloudfront and its Lambda@Edge component, Nagra is able to offer session-based forensic watermarking to content owners in a highly scalable and secure way. Using secure processing at the edge, we can now serve millions of users around the world with a reduction in end-to-end latency," adds Tholen.
