Andoni Aldekoa, appointed new president of FORTA

The Federation of Autonomous Radio and Television Organizations or Entities (FORTA) has appointed Andoni Aldekoa de la Torre, general director of Basque Radio Television (EITB).

From Andoni He has a degree in Radio and Television from INDESCO in Bilbao, a master's degree in Political and Electoral Communication from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​and a postgraduate degree in Economic Intelligence and Security from ICADE. Likewise, he has attended several international seminars on Political and Electoral Communication, and Political Management taught by The George Washington University in Washington, Madrid and Barcelona, ​​and has obtained the certificate in “Management Standards” under the standards of the European Foundation for Quality of Management (EFQM).

Before joining as general director of EITB, Andoni Aldekoa has spent his professional career as general director of the Euskalduna Bilbao Music and Congress Palace y como Asesor y director de Comunicación de Lehendakaritza (Presidencia) del Gobierno Vasco. Asimismo, ha sido consejero delegado adjunto a la Alcaldía del Ayuntamiento de Bilbao, coordinador de Política Económica y Planificación y director de Gabinete de Alcaldía.
