Mo-Sys puts G30, its new gyro-stabilized head, on sale
G30, the latest gyro-stabilized head designed by Mo-Sys Engineering, is now available.
The gyro-stabilized head G30 It has a “unique design” that, according to its own Mon-Sys, has the performance of “much more expensive” systems, but maintaining the ease of use and of systems configuration “Much simpler.”
Mo-Sys' goal when designing the G30 was to create a gyro-stabilized head that meets the needs of any application cinematic o broadcast. The company sought to offer simple setup and operation, “minimal complexity” by avoiding slide rings and counterweights, and compatibility with the widest range of camera payloads.
The G30 features a unique 45˚ frame geometry large enough to accommodate “any” type of camera, including cameras ENG y complete sets of digital cinema cameras. Short, rigid frame provides rigidity for camera payloads up to 30kg, with direct drive motors for “smooth and precise” movement along with “excellent stabilization.” The result is a gyro head stabilized with freedom of horizontal and vertical movement in any configuration, along with a balancing of ±45˚.
Michael Geissler, CEO of Mo-Sys, explains how they have listened to the industry when designing their new G30: "In conversations with early adopters, the response was simpler operation and faster setup. In response, we modified elements of the design, such as the size of the frame, but also took the opportunity to suggest some smart technologies that we were developing. These were well received and therefore were also implemented in the design of the G30."
