RTVE will adapt the Argentine format 'The great prize of cooking', the first cooking talent show in real time
The 1st of RTVE prepares for the next season the premiere of 'The great prize of cooking', the first real-time cooking talent show, Spanish version of the Argentine culinary program created and produced by Boxfish.
The program, in which amateur chefs with nerves of steel will demonstrate their skills in a series of surprising challenges, is a phenomenon in Argentina with more than 1,000 programs broadcast.
The public will be able to follow the delivery of two dishes in each program: one at 20 minutes and another at 35 minutes. This will increase the excitement and allow the cooks to demonstrate their versatility and speed under pressure.
At the end of each week, one of the participants from the team with the lowest score is eliminated. The format begins as a team competition to later transform into a competitive individual battle where teammates become rivals.
Two popular chefs will evaluate the preparations and will be in charge of rewarding and dismissing the participants. You will not be alone in your evaluation of the dishes, since each day a famous guest will accompany you, also acting as a judge.
The great cooking prize will celebrate the varied and traditional cuisine of Spain, highlighting local ingredients, traditional and modern techniques, and the stories behind each dish, highlighting the culinary diversity and richness of our country. Spectators will be able to enjoy a true feast of flavors and culinary techniques that pay tribute to our gastronomic roots.
