Sony actualiza su software Virtual Production Tool Set

Sony will exhibit at IBC 2024 the latest version (2.0) of its virtual production software, Virtual Production Tool Set, which will be available starting this winter of 2024.

Virtual Production Tool Set is a combination of software that helps improve the quality and creativity of virtual production, expanding the possibilities of creators: it includes the camera and screen plug-in for Unreal Engine and the application Windows 10 Color Calibrator for color correction.

The camera and display plugin allows users to simulate the appearance of their chosen camera on screen in a virtual space, before the actual shoot with an LED wall. Version 2.0 adds the following models to your compatible camera list, in addition to the Venice series of digital cameras: Burano, FR7, HDC-3500, HDC-5500 and HDC-F5500.

It is also compatible with Unreal VCam from Epic Games, allowing you to intuitively control cameras in virtual space using an iPad. Additionally, Sony offers a paid license for Live Camera Sync, which can instantly read changes to Venice camera and lens settings on set and reflect them in Unreal Engine settings.

Color Calibrator is an application that creates correction LUTs to achieve high color reproduction in virtual production phases and performs color correction (color calibration) of the installed LED wall.

Color Calibrator version 2.0 supports color calibration using the newly added camera models, as well as a user guide feature that makes it easy to make adjustments. Correction LUT creation is available through a paid license
