Filming begins on 'A Bride for Christmas', Atresmedia's first vertical series

Flooxer, the young channel Atresplayer (Atresmedia), promotes the filming of the 60 episodes of 'A Bride for Christmas', a series defined as a "microdrama" and shot vertically that aims to satisfy the new consumer habits of the young population.

A girlfriend for Christmas, produced by Atresmedia in collaboration with La Charito Films, responds directly to the gender of the microdrama, a “global audiovisual phenomenon” that has achieved success in markets such as Latin America and Asia. Designed to be consumed in vertical, have stories with few characters, many plot twists, a duration of 1 to 3 minutes and intertwined chapters that are perfect for a marathon.

Created and directed by Laura Reivejo y Marta Ambel Meyer for Flooxer, A girlfriend for Christmas will bring together all these principles to offer a story that will span a total of 60 episodes. Initially, they will be seen exclusively through Flooxer, the young channel of Atresplayer. “The platform's technology continues to be a pioneer in our country and this new narrative once again revalidates its leadership position, adapting to new forms of consumption and the different needs of each viewer,” the media group commented in a press release.

This is the synopsis of A girlfriend for Christmas: "Sofía's Christmas couldn't be worse: an unexpected breakup, living with her family and being trapped in romantic-Christmas clichés. Her only consolation is found in Marina, with whom she seems to have a very special connection. Everything would be idyllic, if it weren't for the fact that Marina is her brother's girlfriend. The typical Christmas narrator will follow Sofía in this story of self-discovery and covert romance. Will it be a happy Christmas for Sofía and Marina?"
