5.1 and 7.1 surround audio, without headaches, with DTS on NAB
The Neural UpMix plug-in for ProTools and version 2.5 of the HD Master Audio Suite are now available, facilitating mixing in both 5.1 and 7.1, greatly improving the usual 2D sound.
DTS has unveiled its Neural UpMix, the ProTools plugin designed for premixing multitrack content in 5.1 and 7.1 and the latest version of the HD Master Audio Suite v2.5 audio encoding package.
Neural UpMix is a pioneer in 7.1 surround expansion for the Pro Tools community. Combining precision and creative flexibility, this plug-in can output 5.1 or 7.1 multichannel audio tracks from stereo or 5.1 source material, while maintaining the balance between the spectrum and timbre of the original mix.
Audio engineers will now be able to premix audio multitracks scene-by-scene to create an immersive audio experience that far improves the usual 2D, in addition to creating audio tracks for 3D Blu-ray.
As for the HD Master Audio Suite, now in version 2.5, it makes one of the fastest Blu-ray Disc audio encoders on the market even faster with the introduction of file-based batch encoding for Blu-ray, DVD and online digital delivery. This new functionality automates the encoding process, enabling hundreds of audio codes for processing with just a few mouse clicks.
