The ten finalists for the international contest 'Tell It Your Way', in Panorama Audiovisual

Philips & Ridley Scott Associates anuncian los diez finalistas del concurso mundial de cortometrajes, cuyos trabajos pueden ya visionarse en Panorama Audiovisual. El concurso, con el nombre “cuéntalo a tu manera” (‘Tell It Your Way’), ofrece a los nuevos directores de cine una oportunidad para que Ridley Scott juzgue sus trabajos.

Philips and Ridley Scott Associates (RSA) have announced the names of the ten lucky finalists of an interesting film competition in which the winner will be chosen by the legendary film director.

The contest, called 'Tell It Your Way', offers new film directors a chance to have their work judged by Ridley Scott. A single winner will have an unprecedented opportunity to enjoy a week of professional experience in the offices of Ridley Scott Associates.

To enter the ‘Tell It Your Way’ competition, entrants created an original short film of up to three minutes in length, following the same six-line dialogue used in Philips' Cannes award-winning Parallel Lines short film series directed by RSA talent Carl Erik Rinsch, Greg Fay, Johnny Hardstaff, Jake Scott and Hi-Sim.

A pesar del reto que representó la realización de un cortometraje en tan sólo doce semanas, se recibieron más de 600 participaciones, entre las que se seleccionaron 306 obras para la primera fase del concurso. Un panel de expertos de RSA, British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) y Philips escogieron a los 10 finalistas, basándose en la creatividad y en la originalidad de las historias presentadas, en el empleo interesante de los diálogos de Parallel Lines y en los resultados técnicos conseguidos.

Voting

Starting today, the general public can vote for their favorite movies by clicking on the thumbs up or down icons. YouTube. The five short films with the most votes at midnight on September 5 will advance to the final, where Ridley Scott will be in charge of choosing the winner who will be announced on September 21.

The voting process will continue on YouTube until September 19, to choose a second prize from the public who will win VIP tickets to the premiere of an RSA film in New York or London, including travel, three nights of accommodation and travel expenses, as well as a Philips Cinema 21:9 television.

The winner of the 'Tell It Your Way' competition selected by Ridley Scott will receive a week of professional experience in an RSA office in Los Angeles, New York, London or Hong Kong, seven nights' accommodation, travel expenses and a Philips Cinema 21:9 television.

Baby Time

The story of an actor dressed as a unicorn on a desperate night trip through the city. A sweet, funny and different comedy, with an almost perfect comic touch and a charming ending; well edited and photographed by French director Cedric Petitcollin. This short film offers a very fun story, good performances and an intelligent narrative.

Porcelain Unicorn

Un unicornio de porcelana evoca los recuerdos traumáticos en tiempos de guerra de un hombre con un final conmovedor. Una historia bien editada y dirigida con sensibilidad, con una excelente interpretación, fotografía y dirección artística. Un cortometraje muy profesional que destaca por unos niveles muy altos de destreza en todos los campos.

Honeymoon

A disturbing Danish film reminiscent of Psycho, where a man uses a device to remember the past after a murder in a motel. An intriguing film from the beginning, with a science fiction element very well executed both from a conceptual and aesthetic point of view. Very well acted, this short film stands out for its originality and austerity.

The Other Side

An intense and revealing story about the bitter reality of human trafficking. With a disturbing ending, this film produces a great impact that makes the viewer reflect on the serious matter it relates, thanks to its solid narrative.

Lilicorne

A simple and touching French story of a mother who saves her deaf son. This short film offers natural interpretations through sign language.

Home Movies

An incredibly moving, sensitive and believable story about one man's past, told through home video clips. Made with videotapes, this emotional film uses dialogue in an original way.

The Deal

Una vaca es un unicornio en unas negociaciones mafiosas en un establo con malos resultados. Esta película tiene un buen sentido de humor, unas magnificas interpretaciones, una esmerada dirección y una banda sonora perfecta. Es una película muy Tarentinesca, divertida, maravillosamente realizada y amena.

Iris

Un chico y una chica fallan un su intento de asesinato y deben escapar de las autoridades. Un cortometraje muy elegante, con personajes interesantes y una realización, una localización, unos efectos especiales y una dirección artística muy logrados.

The Craftsman

A mysterious thriller with a very subtle story and a good rhythm that hooks the viewer, creating suspense. With a very interesting location, excellent artistic direction and a good soundtrack that create an ideal cinematographic atmosphere for this work.

Redemption

A Nazi soldier discovers a young Jewish woman hiding in the ruins of a town, something that creates a great dilemma for him. A story directed with great sensitivity and with magnificent performances by the two main characters, as well as very credible special effects and good artistic direction.
