Secuoya and EFE create a production company focused on video on demand in Colombia

EFE contributes its commercial and brand strength, while Secuoya arrives with its know-how of the sector as collateral, the experience of the Wikono model as well as the economic investment and management of the new company.

Grupo Secuoya and Agencia EFE have decided to join forces and create the Audiovisual Content Production Company on Demand (PROCOBADE) in Colombia in a fifty-fifty partnership. The new alliance was created with the aim of meeting the demand of the Colombian market for current video and on-demand content. The project, in pre-production phase, will be launched commercially in the coming months.

Colombia, one of the hottest news spots on the planet, is a strategic territory in terms of the production of audiovisual content, to which is added the close link between the Latin American country and Spain, ratified this week with the visit of President Santos to Spain.

Added to this scenario is the growing demand from media, institutions and companies for audiovisual material in the nerve centers of news.

In Procobade, the EFE Agency contributes its commercial strength, territorial and brand implementation, as well as its knowledge of the local market. For its part, Grupo Secuoya embarks on this project with its know-how in the sector as collateral. Secuoya provides the experience of the Wikono model (a group company that is a benchmark in the informative video supply market in Spain) as well as the estimated investment until the company's “break even” is achieved. Likewise, the management administration of Procobade will be in the hands of Secuoya.

Tanto para EFE como para Secuoya, Colombia es una “prueba piloto” que busca una mayor implantación en el ámbito audiovisual y que, siempre y cuando el resultado sea satisfactorio para ambas compañías, podría ser replicado en otros mercados de América Latina.
