GoPro, now with a touch screen
From this touch screen the user will be able to access tools such as the possibility of cutting and editing clips directly or the HiLight Tagging function.
Halfway between the entry and high range, GoPro has just added the new Hero+ LCD to its portfolio. Integrated into the aquatic housing itself, and submersible up to 40 meters, the main novelty is that the camera now allows access to a touch LCD screen.
From this touch screen the user will be able to access tools such as the possibility of cutting and editing clips directly or the HiLight Tagging function, which allows key moments to be tagged during recording and playback to easily find material in post-production.
Like the Hero, the Hero+LCD has an integrated battery, which limits its prolonged use. However, this model inherits from the Hero 4 Silver its ability to record in 1080p at a maximum of 60fps.
As for photos, it's capable of shooting at 8MP, up from the Hero's 5MP, but down from the 4 Silver's 12MP.
The new Hero+LCD incorporates Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with direct connection to the GoPro App. This application allows easy camera control and remote preview, as well as content sharing via Instagram, Facebook and Twitter… Combined with the new video cutting and editing function, the application is an excellent option for sharing content.
