The virtual reality short film shot in 360º Talisman, directed by Carlos Therón and made in co-production with Quexito Films, director and producers of the box office hit Es Por Tu Bien, aims to immerse viewers in a terrifying story full of mystery. Thanks to the Samsung Gear VR virtual reality glasses, the public that comes to the Samsung Sitges Cocoon exhibition spaces during the Festival will be able to experience with maximum emotion the story of three bricklayers who work on the renovation of an old house, where they find a strange object hidden behind a wall and decide to remove it from its hiding place. Although Julián, the leader of the crew, feels an unpleasant shock when touching the object and wants to get rid of it, another of the bricklayers believes that it may have some value and decides to keep it. Very soon, the talisman will begin to exercise its power and the protagonists will discover the macabre history of the family that owns the property.
Celestino García, corporate vice president of Samsung Spain, highlights that "with virtual reality, fantastic and horror content takes on a new dimension. This technology awakens a wide range of sensations in the viewer and causes all their senses to be alert. The short film 'Talismán' that we have produced and which we present today exclusively at Samsung Sitges Cocoon, is an excellent example of high-quality cinematographic content in virtual reality."
This is the second project he has led, after the film “Ceremony” by Nacho Vigalondo that inaugurated the Samsung Sitges Cocoon space last year.

Some of the most notable virtual reality premieres will be Campfire Creepers, by French director Alexandre Aja, the first horror series in virtual reality and with a 360º vision, which revolves around urban legends explained around the fire at a summer camp; and Night, Night, by Guy Shelmerdine, a terrifying experience about childhood fears in the form of macabre clowns.
