Andreu Casasnovas, new general director of Sony Iberia
After directing Sony's audio and video area at a continental level, Andreu Casasnovas takes on a new challenge as general director of Sony Iberia.
Casasnovas has been selected to assume management of the company in Spain and Portugal after his experience as director of the audio and video division of Sony Europe. The new general director at Iberia replaces Alberto Ayala, in position since the end of 2018, who will return to Sony Europe to develop new work at continental level.
As head of Sony Iberia, Casasnovas will have the objective of developing a business strategy at the Iberian level what a highlight the value of creativity in creating unique experiences for users, so much professionals as technology lovers. In his own words: “From the general management in Spain and Portugal, I will try to contribute my experience to continue improving our presence in both countries, open a new stage in a different context than before the pandemic and continue putting a long-established brand like Sony in its place.”
Andreu Casasnovas is telecommunications engineer, MBA by ESADE and PDD for out. He has been with the company for almost 25 years, during which he has held different roles of responsibility in the marketing and sales departments. Since the end of 2018, Casasnovas led the audio and video department of Sony Europe as successor to Alberto Ayala and has developed highly successful product launches in the market, such as the Sony WF-1000M4 and the recently introduced Sony LinkBuds.
