China begins building the first Bolivian satellite

China has begun this week to build Bolivia's first communications satellite with an investment that will be around 300 million dollars.

Bolivia will soon have its own communications satellite. The Bolivian government would allocate about 300 million dollars to this project, in whose financing China itself, the country that built the satellite, will directly participate.
The United Nations has committed to providing Bolivia with technical assistance on orbit positions and frequency bands.

The satellite will give Internet access to thousands of Bolivians in remote areas and will reinforce the television offer in the country.
