Mejor dirección de producción, fotografía, montaje, sonido, arte… la película de J.A. Bayona hizo pleno en las categorías técnicas de los Goya.

The Goya for Best Production Direction went to A monster comes to see me and, specifically, for Sandra Hermida Múñoz, who took nearly two years to organize the production plan. Filming lasted 16 weeks and all interior sequences were recorded in Spain.
