With more than thirty years of experience in the media and ICT sector, Charlie Vogt joins ATX after having led Imagine Communications for the last four years.

ATX Networks, a provider of network infrastructure systems and commercial video solutions based in Toronto in Ajax, Ontario, Canada, has appointed Charlie Vogt as presidentHey executive director.

With more than thirty years of experience in the media and ICT sector, Vogt joins ATX after having been at the helm for the last four years of Imagine Communications where he led the transformation of Harris Broadcast into Imagine and GatesAir, and the subsequent move from a traditional broadcast company to a new environment of IP, software and cloud technologies.

Vogt succeeds Ken Wildgoose, who commanded ATX for the last 18 years. Now, he will continue as an advisor to the board of directors.

Wildgoose commented that "it has been an honor to lead ATX Networks and be part of the company's incredible team of dedicated employees. Charlie is a visionary and strategic thinker with decades of experience."

“His passion and experience combined with the company's talented team and exciting new initiatives in the HFC access networks and commercial video markets positions ATX for an exciting and promising next chapter,” he added.

For his part, Camilo E. Horvilleur, member of the board of directors of ATX Networks and general director of H.I.G. Capital, noted that "Ken Wildgoose has led ATX through several cycles of technology and growth, both organically and through strategic acquisitions. We thank Ken for his years of leadership and look forward to continuing to work with him as a member of the board of directors. With a distinguished history of successfully building, transforming and growing ICT and media companies, Charlie was a logical choice to continue Ken's success."

Voght emphasizes that "I have spent the majority of my career championing disruptive and innovative change, introducing new business models and competitive solutions for communications service providers and media companies. The cable, satellite and telecommunications industries are undergoing transformative changes as the world adopts new advanced technologies to deliver cheaper, faster and better services than before. I am delighted to join the company at such an exciting time in our industry and we look forward to working closely with the ATX team and their impressive portfolio of clients.”

Prior to Imagine, Vogt was CEO of Genband, a company specialized in the voice and video over IP business, carrying out six acquisitions. His resume also includes other leading companies such as Taqua and Santera Systems (Tekelec), Accelerated Networks (Calix Networks), Lucent (Alcatel), Ascend Communications (Lucent), ADTRAN, Motorola and IBM.
