Sala Dolby Atmos and ISS

International Sound Studio has updated the equipment in its cinema mixing room Dolby Premier in Barcelona incorporating a Dolby Atmos 3D sound system.

The design and execution of the project has been carried out by Ricard Camprodón in collaboration with CSS Audiovisual Technology.

In the installation of the Dolby Atmos system, some elements of the previous installation have been maintained, such as the five JBL 4675 CHF central units with JBL MPX1200 amplification and 26 JBL SCS12 units, four JBL PRX415M and three JBL4645C, with amplification based on five Crown DCI8-600 units and one Crown DCi8-300, have been added.

Due to the requirements of Dolby Atmos, an acoustic renovation of the room has been carried out, and the position of some elements such as the projection screen and also the mixing console have been modified.

International Sound Studio currently has 2,500 m² facilities, and has around twenty sound rooms (6 dedicated to mixing, 10 to recording, and 5 to editing).
